![]() Paying a premium price to have to figure out how to get in and out of the place, sit in a dirty seat, and use a dirty restroom, is pathetic. Paying a premium price to have a better experience is worth it. How can Buccee’s keep a 100-stall public restroom clean and a “luxury” theatre can’t maintain a minimal standard of cleanliness for its facilities? My comfy chair had dried up soda on the armrest that was sticky. And when we finally made it out, the guy sitting in the foyer wasn’t advising anyone of the issue. And when leaving the actual theatre to head down, the escalators were working, the doors were still locked so you couldn’t get out unless you went back up to the second floor and exited through the fire stairwell. The door to the escalator (when it’s working it’s a cool way to get up) area was locked on my last visit. There is an elevator so why not put a sign on the ground floor saying the escalator is out of order? The access issues don’t stop there. When it goes back to the standard 24 frames per second, which it does. Not necessarily a bad thing but when you realize the theatre is on the 7th floor, it becomes a big thing. Problem is, the movie’s frame rate is dynamic it switches between standard and high frame rate using a visual trick. The escalator has been broken and I’ve had to walk up and down the escalator. So why does Cineopolis at this location rate as average at best?įirst issue, accessibility. Being able to get movie snacks and food delivered is also great. Where to begin? Watching the movie in a nice theatre with comfortable reclining seat is great. Overall, great place to take a family to see the latest movies. There doesn't seem to be any obvious security in place, if that kind of thing is important to you. The glass walls overlooking the second floor below make me VERY nervous (how structurally sound are those supports? I'd hate to find out.) You do have to walk through a portion of the abandoned mall which is rather creepy. There's a tiny arcade area near the entrance/exit - not enough to really amuse kids for very long IMO. The prices are half to a third of the cost of other AMC theatres. They show brand-new movies and now you can pick your seat. The movie theatre itself is very clean and well maintained that I could tell. A few times, the escalator wasn't working so if you have walking issues or wheelchair, be aware of your options. They do have an elevator nearby but I don't know if it works or not. It's now completely empty except for this movie theatre (which is on the third floor - reachable by stairs/escalator). It's hard to believe this mall used to be PACKED on weekends back in the day.
